Also just because the Germans translate the word "klinikum" to the word "hospital" doesn't mean it's correct, this obviously gets lost in translation.
Also the fact that you interchange the words "klinikum" and "hospitals" tells me you haven't been in Germany long. They have very specific meaning in German.
And lastly again with the insults, I guess when you have no argument all you do is insult right Eva?

In any case, my original point still stands as Germany for-profit insurance are capped so it really wouldn't matter it were single-payer or multiplayer as it solves the problem if insurance companies skimming from the top. Oh, don't worry, I've been living in Germany for over 40 years. Germans don't detect that I'm not a native.
Didn't you even read Asklepios' website?
Has it ocurred to you that your understanding of the meaning of the word might be off, not the Germans'? Klinik or clinic is not a word invented by Anglo-Saxons, it is far older. Look it up.
Trying to impart knowledge is not insulting, Javier. What is insulting is your attempt to teach me about something I know far more about than you. There is an additional cost that few people talk about, and that is the toll that additional work, worry, and fear cost so many of us. If you spend sleepless nights because you cannot imagine how to pay your bills if you get sick, or cannot imagine howto care for a sick child or spouse and not lose your job, or how to pay the health insurance premium and the deductible and the out-of-pocket and still manage the rent and utlilties, that all has a cost to your own health. People can and do break down under the stress of navigating our health care system (quite a euphemism, that). I know too many folks who just carry on and don't dare get sick, don't take sick days (which are not always provided) or get preventive care because they are afraid and/ or up against other pressures. We should not be in this mess, but we are, and we need a blue tsunami to even begin to begin to fix it. And we need to end for-profit health care and institute medicare for all. We could have done it under the Truman administration, but the AMA blocked any idea of universal health care as socialism, and the Cold War contributed to the climate of denial. Wake up! We are allowing ourselves to be victimized.

This is the official design. Available for T-shirt, hoodie, sweater, tank top, long sleeve and v-neck t-shirt for men and women.

Let's stop. Now. I think you misread me, Dan. I am not saying that people should expect never to worry. I am saying that a family of four, with both parents working, should not have to pay fifteen thousand dollars per year in premiums for insurance that does not even pay for all medical costs incurred in that same year. And I am saying that if the government allows doctors and hospitals and drug companies to profit so excessively, there is something wrong. And I am saying that we took a wrong turn and need to correct it.

And, my initial observation, that there are hidden but real costs to our current dilemma, still stands despite your attempt to make me look like a crybaby. I watched my husband die a long and painful death from cancer and still had over ten thousand dollars in medical bills to pay. And we had insurance. Dan Moses I have to worry about a lot of things, but how to pay for healthcare ans whether I'll die without treatment isn't one of them. Welcome to Canada, eh? Yup Dan it is great to just be able to focus on getting better when you are sick without worry of becoming bankrupt. Why wouldn't you want that for yourself and everyone? True Dan, it has been. A few civilized countries found a way to make that experience a little less stressful. All we want is to make it as good as it can be.
I'm sure universal health care is not perfect, but anything is better than not being able to afford health care at all. I am Canadian, family of six, single blue collar income. I cannot bear to think of the stress and misery in my life if I had to worry about counting pennies for a<!--td {border: 1px solid #ccc;}br {mso-data-placement:same-cell;}-->Lebron James Ultimate Warrior T Shirt to emerge for one of the kids, or deciding
which medication
we could afford. We pay our taxes; they are higher but not that much higher than a US citizen with comparable income. I never have to worry about affording medical, ever. I cannot imagine how the quality of my life would degrade through the stress and uncertainty of poor medical care! Universal healthcare enables my family to live a more fulfilling, happier life, I am convinced of it. Further I believe many of the ills USA suffers from would be lessened by implementing a similar system. Our countries suffer similar challenges: systemic racism, corrupt politics, violence, domination of assets by the elite... but universal healthcare unites us instead of alienating us, our govt invests in citizens health and well being instead seeming a remote adversary from whom we must protect ourself with the right to bear arms, no person is denied the right to medical care.
I believe USA<!--td {border: 1px solid #ccc;}br {mso-data-placement:same-cell;}-->No One Is Illegal On Stolen Land Shirt, deserves, requires socialized medicine in order to progress and thrive. You're so right! I spent 13 consecutive months in the hospital surrounding a double lung transplantation. But because I live in Germany, I did not have to worry about the financial aspects. I was able to concentrate on recovering. I came through the whole ordeal financially no worse for the wear. Not only did my health insurance cover all my medical bills (except for the $500 annual deductable), they also paid my sick leave. Bart Logan the US defence costs are inflated to twice beyond reason and no one relies on your international policing to protect us. Quite the contrary, your foreign relations policies over the last few decades have demonstrably created more national security challenges for your allies. Regina M. Logan could you afford the 2k. Because a friend of mine worth millions and making millions bitched always about the $30k a year his insurance cost. It is all relevant. In Europe we have Universal Health Care and we are fine. No person is left without treatment and most of our medication is covered by our National Healthcare. I have many American-Greek friends who live in USA who plan their vacation to Greece and alsomake sure to prearranged appointments to dentists while they are visiting Greece because USA is too expensive for such treatments. So in order to have an opinion on Universal Healthcare you really need to examine how it works in other countries. Don’t drink the<!--td {border: 1px solid #ccc;}br {mso-data-placement:same-cell;}-->Rick And Morty Run The Jewels Shirt they have been feeding you. Research. You may be surprised what you find out. Dan Moses Got nothing to do with it. Many new drugs and innovations are developed here using government grants. So we pay twice. Dan Moses Doesnt matter, pharma companies are around the world.
