So when do these ridiculous contracts end? All this crap does is drive up ticket prices to the point where the real fans can't go to games. What have Ryan, Jimmy G, Matt Stafford, and Kirk Cousins done to deserve such ridiculously large contracts? If it was Brady, Rodgers, or Roethlisberger getting these contracts maybe it'd make sense, but now these teams are just handing out 100 million dollar contracts to any QB. I find it funny most of the highest paid QBs: Ryan, Cousins, Carr, Luck, Jimmy G, and Stafford have a combined 0 superbowl wins as starters. When are these teams gonna realize using all their cap space on a QB doesn't work? Great teams win superbowls. Eagles won with Nick Foles under center and he sure wasn't making 100 million. Using that much cap on a QB is lunacy. It’s become a pissing contest between nfl owners. Can’t imagine what they’re gonna fork over to Goff in a few years. It has nothing to do with ticket prices.
Copying from previous post: In the last few years rules have been changed from MLB all the way down to little league that unless the catcher is in possession of the ball he can't be in the baseline blocking the plate even if he's trying to go where the ball is being thrown. Catcher being in the base path without possession of the ball automatically rules the runner safe at the plate whether there is a collision or not. They put that rule in place to avoid collisions like this. The catcher is 100% at fault for getting hit. Pretty sure he got a warning from the home plate umpire too. Yeah, that’s player interference on the catcher. Runner would’ve been safe at the plate anyway. It doesn’t matter if it’s wrong, it’s the rules. Watch the umpire in the video. He calls the runner out.

Because you can't run over a player making a play on the ball, which the catcher looks like he is doing in high school especially. Christopher Bornhoft, check out what they call the Buster Posey Rule. In 2011 his leg was shattered while blocking home plate, that caused the MLB to come up with this rule. A catcher can’t block the plate unless in possession of the ball. I think we can all agree this catcher was not in possession of it. Instead of blaming the runner, people should be blaming the catcher’s coach for not teaching him correctly. All forms of baseball whether it’s rec ball or high school follow that rule. Christopher Neal Bornhoft you obviously don’t know the rules. Regardless if the runner ducked his shoulder to make the hit, the catcher shouldn’t have been there. Not the base runner’s fault. I was a catcher all my life. The catcher is wrong not the base runner. And to answer your question if it was my kid behind the plate, I would have asked him if he learned a lesson.
