That’s the scariest one for me too. I can’t think about that one before bed or I will never be able to fall asleep. Definitely "Scarecrow." To me, the absolute definition of horror is the exchange between Sam and Dean near the end, when Dean says something like "Keep an eye on that scarecrow, it could start moving any minute," and Sam looks around: "What scarecrow?" I literally yelled. To me is like for jensen..when its humans is the worst. I remember the 1st time i got scared with the shlw was whe the girl i the walls step in the salt in family remains. It was the only time the show made me feel like watching a horror movie. I watched it once and never will again. I've rewatched the show 3 and a half times now and every time I've skipped that episode. I even made a note to myself and put it in my season 4 DVD set so I know where it is and don't accidently watch it. Psrsonal my most Scariest episode is Season1 episode04 "Blood Mary" & episode11"Scarecrow".

that two episode is Best of Best scariest episodes to me . My top 3: the Pilot, Bloody Mary, and Provenance, with the evil girl in the painting. They totally got me with Provanance, I thought the father was the evil one, when it turned out it was the little daughter?! It upped the scare factor to 10...total nightmare fuel. Dead in the water was pretty creepy as well. When they had a lower budget they compensated by not showing the 'monsters' or cutting away from Lebron James Ultimate Warrior T Shirt to just the blood splatter. For me that's quintessential Supernatural and actually adds to the uneasiness. Danielle Kriger Definitely ❤ course, Season4 & 5 & 13 is Best of Best season to me..
But I think Season1 is Supernatural's another mean's Legend season ! Amanda Bell McGeshick Apparently ! Season1 is most Scariest season..but and season1 episode04 & 11 is more scariest better than season1's other episodes.. Eric Kripke (creator of the show) intended it to be the more scary way as well, working on existig urban legends. He intended the show to end after season 5, after the main storyline had been told. I’m still a fan atm, but the first 3-5 seasons were the most amazing to me. The build ups, suspense and I was drawn to the series for the horror/thriller aspect of it. Now it evolved in something much bigger, but I do think the show has had it’s best run. I do love the cast and the crew and how they interact with the audience / SPN Family. Just an amazing set up. But storywise, it’s slowly getting unoriginal unfortunately. I think about dead In the water when ever I shower 😂 it scared me so much
And I hate Bloody Mary, I already have a fear of Pray For 45 Shirt so . He's said in Q&A panels that he really doesn't do horror or suspense any thing. He loves doing the show but its hard for him to watch. He's actually directed a few episodes of Supernatural but he said it was hard to go back and review footage. The episode hated is talking about is titled 'the kids are all right' the episode children shouldn't play with dead things is about a walking corpse that comes back and kills her boyfriend for cheating on her and her best friend. The only thing the episodes were either way freakier early on or did we truly just get used to it? I was just a high schooler when this show started and those first 2-3 seasons were freaky. Bugs is the only one I refuse to watch again. I think the first couple of seasons were much scarier. Up to when they close Hell's gate. After that it became 'Dean or Sam Dies, and Someone Is Causing Mayham. ' It became predictable. And the monsters weren't really.scary anymore. They were fluff for the real story. It was no longer about the monster fighting, it was about The Story. And the monster fighting is what got people into SPN in the first place.... I was just a kid when the show came out I was about 5 but I always remember the earlier Gigi Like A Grandmother, But So Much Cooler Shirt being freaky af. But I was also little so idk. I was in high school and idk I just remember the show being labeled more horror. I made a “guy” friend and we argued a lot about what was gonna happen next and at the end of season 2 I think it was I was right and he freaked out like “how did you know” and I’m all Jared told me 😂
I was MySpace friends with his cousin and thus I was his MySpace friend. I feel like now its more of a drama than it is horror. Like its almost how many twists can we put in one season. I personally liked the earlier seasons rather than when god came on the show and then gods sister and then all this craziness. The first two seasons were way scarier and some of my favorites. It hadn't become a joke oh Dean is dead again he'll be back later no big deal. If they died it seemed permanent. firstly, Misha had to binge watch 3 seasons of supernatural for the part which I find objectively hilarious and secondly Daneel Ackles tortures Jensen with creepy dolls. How the hell are you not scared of Bloody Mary and Family Remains? I had to physically step back from the screen.
