Did not really care for The Last Jedi, and thought the "Solo" stand alone movie was awful. But, I know I'll be in line to see episode 9 because it's Star Wars, and I'm hopeful they can redeem themselves in the last pic..... Haven't heard of anyone getting sick of the movies but that doesn't mean that the "new crop" of pics are all spectacular. The new Solo movie is something I will wait to see on BluRay. Ford WILL ALWAYS be Solo and I just don't have any interest in seeing that character portrayed by a new actor.... Yes. The original movie was great. The next two were good. Ever since, it has been terrible. The actors are horrible, the story lines are awful and they just keep getting worse. Now, as was noted by another writer, Disney owns the rights and all the liberal garbage has ruined what little was left of it. It HAD/HAS great potential, but has been totally destroyed by bad writing and kow towing to public pressure from the left. Solo was a good movie actually with a good story.The last Jedi felt like filler and really didn't add anything fresh.Obviously there has been storyline and character decisions that are alienating fans old and new. The current generation of kids and young people loved (past tense) Star Wars because their parents grew up with New Hope, Empire Strikes Back and ROTJ and they became ICONIC to us and we fell in love with the characters. Then they began to COMPLETELY dismantle our beloved characters by means of death and social agenda/trends.If Harrison Ford wanted to be done with the franchise there are better ways it could have been done. Before anyone berates me for that...they are going to have to do exactly that with Leia. There can be no death scene for her...not a REAL one anyway.

Rian Johnson and Kathleen Kennedy killed the most bankable property in cinema. No. They aren’t. Just the Politically Correct Progressive Liberal Social Justice Warrior indoctrination themes that Kathleen Kennedy, JJ Abrams, and Rian Johnson plastered through The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi. I'll never get sick of star wars. I am however sick of this new star wars. They have completely destroyed a story that I love. I feel like I'm watching my child get beaten and I'm helpless to do anything about it. Sorry I dont watch or support anything produced by that bunch of Hollywood hypocrites. I now watch European or Russian movies instead. Will not support people who live the glamour life thanks to this country's capitalistic ways and at the same time preach how much they hate and want to see the country taken down while they live in mansions surrounded by walls and armed guards. It's not Star Wars. It's that they're pushing politics, ignoring the feel of the original source material and expecting the die hard fans to just accept all of the changes and continue paying $10-$15 a pop in the process. Had to settle for the KING Theater across the street playing .....Cross of Iron starring James Coburn.................a good film but NOT THE SAME!!! It was a tiny ad in our local newspaper. My Dad wanted to take us to go see a movie (rare for him). My brother and I were excited and wanted to go see Star Wars. My dad said "Naw, that movie isn't anything to go see. We are going to see Rocky." Still can't believe that this film became the reason why we have major summer movies around Memorial Day and the fact George Lucas "invented" the Summer Blockbuster by default. Plus how our constitution was started on this day is also a awesome fact indeed.
