It is appalling to me: people mistreat their pets - that's a crime, others go to the woods, track and kill animals "for fun" with illegal guns (!)... and that is called hunting. Also, there is a lot of evidence linking animal cruelty/ mistreatment and abuse of other people. Why would anyone be interested in killing and taking another life? to satisfy their egos and feel superior?! I am talking about the thrill seekers who do if for the "fun". I do it because deer meat is healthier than the hormone injected chicken and cow.
I know where my food is coming from.

I also mourn the loss of the life of the deer for a few days. I get depressed after a successful hunt.
I also take what im allowed by the state i live in, and take what comes across me first.

I am for a quick clean kill.

most hunters are like me.
Those who hunt for trophies are a little weird.
But it is also a way to connect with nature. I’ve completed the circle of life. I’ve hunted my own food, grown my own food. Theres a sense of pride in that.

Also, most hunting efforts work towards animal conservation. Deer populations are out of control. Killing some of the deer ensure stronger, healthier herds. It ensures theres enough food for all of them. Otherwise if we just let them run rampant, they would starve, or develop diseases, as well that you would see an increase of car collisions with deer. Hunting still has a place in our society, more so than most people realise. Love watching the bears! Look forward each year to seeing last year's cubs and how they've grown too. These little furbears are awesome. Looks like the one in front is the spotter for the bear in the back. I thought I saw the head jerk of like...hey...here comes some fish...lol. Where are the fish? The bears look all sad and confused because they know there should be thousands of salmon jumping out of those waters. LOVE THESE BEARS <3 .
