Scott Shehorn i think that its great that they put out a new supra. it has a legacy and i dont think toyota will dissapoint anyone. BMW inline 6 is better than Toyotas. Naturally aspirated m3 inline 6 engines reach well over 300 horse power reliably. Toyotas engines are super reliable, but required a twin turbo to reach it's stock horsepower and costs a ton of money to make it reliable and powerful at the same time. If you've never driven a BMW at least go try one. Automatic or manual it doesn't really matter. The steptronic works okay enough to do stupid shit in except from 1st to 2nd gear because it shifts slow. Scott Shehorn yes, they are pretty much synonymous with the inline 6 format. Only company who still produces that layout.

For most, I dont think they are against progress, just agaisnt the overall design of the exterior. The design does seem excessively "complex/curvy" to be able to compete agaisnt the looks of luxury and supercars, and Toyota is using that the make the car expensive. Alot of these fanboys want a car like that, but no one is willing to make one cost effective. Wich is aslo why each generation, you see what was garbage on wheels, get rebuilt, modded to fuck and used in competition. Their popularity would quickly build up with performance companies making parts specifically for these cars(sleepers) until the cars manufacturer decides to remake/bring back that car and fuck it all up by slapping a price tag of over 100 grand. You can really push any enthusiast vehicle up to 600 to 900 horse power with enough money. The MK IV Supra did it so well because people loved the car and supported it as an easy to work on, tunable car.

I blame the government for taking away those affordable JDM machines from us with their strict emissions and safety standards. No^ the mkiv spura does it well because the 2jz could be had with forged internals and twin sequential turbos from factory. The motor is an absolute gem and arguably the most durable stock production motor ever produced. All of BMW M3's having bearing wear issues due to poor oil flow.
