Have fun being on the wrong side of history. Where were the Religious leaders in this community? Don't most houses of worship have programs to help people in these types of crisis? According to the article she had paid off $1,300 of the $1,800 why doesn't the utility have programs for people who have limited income, and serious health issues. I don’t think there was any malicious intent on the part of the utility company. Sounds like some bureaucratic problem that he equipment wasn’t properly registered. This does underscore the need for renewables like wind and solar that drastically cut monthly utility bills a dependence on traditional utility companies. Parrish Johnson Garcia no point in discussing anything with that moron. It will have to wait until he is removed from office. Hospice.... does anyone really understand what that means?? A review of residential bills exceeding $500 per month is necessary. It is incredible to consider that family, friends, the utility company, social services, etc failed to noticed the outstanding balance. This poor woman was in hospice care. I'm wondering why hospice didn't move her to a hospice center until the electricity was restored. Looks like everyone dropped the ball. Perhaps she was completely immobile? As a daughter and caregiver to my Mother who died at 69, I would have moved mountains for her. She was blessed less than 2 years ago to have a PG&E program that warned if there were going to be outages and gave options if ever there were. I am devastated for this family. I dont know what I would have done, but it, should never even have to be a worry. Utility Companies make way to much to not have back up plans for those who cannot get to a place that there is power. Emergency portable generators are a cheap alternative for those in dire need. Much cheaper than a trip to the Hospital. You dont know the challenges until you are in them. Did the power go off in the entire hospice? If she was in a facility, her one individual unit would not have been shut off. What is the hospice place saying? Did the utility company shut off the hospice's power for lack of payment? What happened here? you are not in hospice only in assisted living most are in hospice in their own homes because they can't afford to go to the other place or prefer to die at home. Hospice only visits you about 2 times a week which leaves a lot of time to be on your own if family is not there for you. Being on hospice, her social worker only needed to write a letter to the utility company, to keep her power on, some hospice companies even assist with the bill. If it appears the utilities are being disconnected, the social worker would then removed the client from the home into hospice home. From the article arrangements were made they were making payments. At the time EMT's were called she should have been removed from the home.

I can't say who's at fault here but I believe it would be something like this, Family, Hospice, PSAG, EMT's, to allow a Jean Ralphio The Wooorst Three Jean Moon Shirt to suffer unable to breathe forget cooling her she couldn't breathe they all should take responsibility. If her family had gotten a statement from her doctor they would not have cut off her power or at least that's how it works where I live. "Desiree also said that Linda’s medical equipment was registered with the company, though PSEG told WABC they had not been notified of the device and were unaware of Daniels’ medical needs."
So either the family is lying (which I find unlikely) or the notification is sitting on someone's desk at PSEG. Michael Mussington no her family. Someone had to be in charge of paying the utilities but if they knew they couldn't arrangements should have been made for their Fortnite Nike Shirt. I think that Americans pay enough in taxes to pay for electricity for all citizens. Instead of allowing corporations to decide who lives and who dies, we need to be taking care of our people. Murica! We are definitely a third world country. We are definitely not a Christian country. We are 3rd rate. We are disgusting. I'm ashamed of what we have become. They should have had a record threw hospice and the lady should have had plenty of back up oxygen tanks that doesn't take electricity . So I think many failed her in that situation .but if the electric company had the info it is not good for them. NAACP called for “the establishment of a universal right to uninterrupted energy service” and reported a number of stories similar to Daniels’. Why the hell would they do that?. Would the electric company CEOs do that to their own mothers? No, I didn't think so, and I will bet they say that they are "proslide". "Linda Daniels, 68, was in hospice care. Her family told local media they used a smaller oxygen reserve while her power was shut off, and called emergency services when the reserve ran out.
