I mean, at this point Kevin Durant should be a cautionary tale against taking the easy way out. He'll never be mentioned among the greats because he'll never have been responsible directly for the team's success. Whereas in New Orleans Davis gets the full faith and credit of any and all accomplishments so to speak. Adding Davis to the Warrior roster would mean another three to four championships near-term and possibly more. Lebron could take his talent wherever he chose and it wouldn’t mean a bit of difference. In addition to adding a solid scorer, Davis gives them a rim protector and rebounder they currently lack. I can imagine everyone is interested in AD... that means nothing because he’s not going anywhere. When you’re finally putting a team on the court that’s got some fight, you don’t trade away the best player. Klay Thompson’s 4-year extension is $102 million. If he waits another year, he’s eligible for a 5-year contract worth $180 million. There’s no guarantee GSW can pay him that much nor will I think they can afford to do so with the luxury tax.

Since the NBA is so big on social and economic justice, let’s propose a salary cap system with progressive luxury tax rates. The larger the market, the larger the tax. Spread the talent and get us something watchable. The current salary cap system is an utter disaster. The Warriors are literally taking all of the fun out of the NBA. What happened to that little thing in sports called “competition”??🤷🏽‍♂️, The the best players in the league wanna play on the same team..it’s gettin ridiculous. To acquire Davis means you'll have to trade equal talent... and considering neither Davis or the Pels are interested in parting ways, the trade would have to be an advantage for the pels... like Davis for Klay and Draymond. Okay, I know it makes sense, I understand ownership wanting to go after the best roster they can build, I understand if Anthony Davis wants to win and I don’t judge players who want to seek better opportunities... but this would be a little too much, wouldn’t it? All the Pels need to take down GSW is Bron or George... Make it happen DELL... I love how people think that AD needs to move. How about you consider nola adding 1 piece, and we the the big easy dethroning these punks! Is like to see this with Thompson going to the Pelicans. Iggy can make up the difference starting again. He’s a good defender and plays like a bigger man. I think the warriors are building to contend with the surge in big men starting to make a come back. There should be some rule to prevent this, because I honestly think the warriors getting Durant hurts the nba. If they got Davis they’d see ratings drop. Some sort of rule like the Larry Bird exception, or bird rights, but reverse. Bird rights allow you to go over the cap to retain your player(s). The Durant Rule: No more than 3 All NBA players to a team? NBA would let this happen but blocked Chris Paul to New Orleans. Starting to feel more like a reality show than a sport. I must be getting old because I miss the days when sports were sports and not year round soap operas. This is because Lebron is going to Sixers and they would have no answer for Embiid. Won’t be surprised to see this happen. Centre is the only position that can be improved at GSW and signing Davis for a few years guarantees there will be no one out there that can beat them. Shame to see the NBA become this lopsided. Nothing can stop this if itll happen... the warriors ownership struck gold once they acquired steve kerr...the only chance other teams now is to bulk up or improve defensive and offensive systems...
