The first number one hit from a Multi- racial group! So what’s that make Sly and the family Stone which included women. Clem&Thefoundations came to Perth Theatre everyone was dancing and clapping the atmosphere was electric, he spoke to my husband and I in the bar afterwards what a lovely guy,l said you look so young you do not change;he said "black don't crack"!I really enjoyed the performance but I'm very curious about the odd audience 🤔
For starters why are they all white? It's like they're not actually really dancing. They're sort of just moving back and forth with absolutely no passion whatsoever! A lot of them are distracted looking around the room while they move back and forth in that odd manner.
It's very strange actually. It takes away from the performance for me. Bummer. I saw Clem a couple of times on the cruise ships, top man and a real nice guy, sadly he died last year... met clem in a nightclub at butlins my friends knew him and introduced him to us, he stood there in a long overcoat with his collar up and a russian fur hat on bearing in mind it was very warm in the club, he said shh ime in disguise, he stood out like sore thumb, lovely bloke. I met Clem at my cousin’s party; lovely guy. Sad to hear that he had passed on. Found out from a lady in a charity shop at Bogna when we were attending a Soul Weekend a few years ago. my daughter tells me it's nice to see a late middle age man in touch with his gay disco side. I thought it was just me. Looking forward to taking cadets flying on Friday so they can appreciate proper music in the car on the way there. I'll be starting with a bit of Rose Royce, probably some earth wing and fire and definitely some four tops.

We definitely had the best groups and the very best music, you instantly wanted to dance the minute they played the first note, still do, I love watching all these clips of these absolute legends! Met Clem Curtis on a cruise a few years ago spent couple of hours talking to him in the cocktail bar fascinating guy with some great stories to tell , kept him going with wine but he never bought a round back 🍷🍷🍷🍷🍷🍷🍷🎤🎤
Was one of the entertainers on Fortnite Nike Shirt and sang Build me upbuttercup lovely guy. This song was playing on the jukebox in the booth at Woolworth's the first time my friend and I were allowed to go to the "avenue" shopping. I think we were about 11 years old. Brings back good memories. One of my favs from way back in the 60's..
Britain🇬🇧 had the biggest reputation of the best music. Some if it that, came onto the market are now, classics that will live on forever..... Made me think of you, Zussette. Back in the day, 😉, when you were talking about "Something About Mary" and this song...lol. Ah, Mercy Hospital Pharmacy days! Good times. Angie Vienna Collis and I both worked with Clem Curtis the original singer of the Foundations No.1 hit "Baby now that I found you," for over 2 years as a supporting act in the 90s. Sadly he has passed away recently. Ha, I had a part time job at Kkkatys on Walmart Rope Tree Journalist Some Assembly Required T Shirt, the coat check girl who was a year short of 21😂 I wouldn't have missed it for the world. I was born in the early 70s but this music just rocks my core and even better my kids love it too and they were born in the 90s no struggling to understand lyrics and they could play real instruments not technological stuff. I was one year old, but back in the 60s 70s and even 80s music was music and required tallent. These days all you need is fake boobs or a genderless outfit with a synthesizer box and look our charts here I come. f I remember correctly we used to call this "bubblegum pop music". Songs like "Sugar Sugar", ""1, 2, 3, Red Light", "Yummy Yummy Yummy", "Hanky Panky", "I Think We're Alone Now","Snoopy vs. the Red Baron", etc. Catchy tunes with melodies that stayed in your head...the kind that appeals to preteens. Mid 70's met the Foundations as we were djing the venue they were appearing in Rockey Sands in Poole, can remember helping get there gear in and thinking it had seen better days but they sounded fantastic when they played. Wow...That was one of my tunes...Until now I thought they were of the caucasian persuasion. It is a classic on both sides of the pond. Good looking out. Loved this English/Welsh (non Tamla) group. Unfortunately they never made it passed Pete MacBeths problems with kids, such a pity, but i will not forget!
