When watching football on tv, I stand and place my hand over my heart when the anthem is being sung or played. I did not watch my Saints today as it was reported they all would be standing with linked arms for unity and that's not good enough for me. I have been a saints fan from day 1. I well remember the longest field goal in history that was completed by the club footed saint. Enough is enough. We all have inequaties in our lives. Try being a senior for one day with health impaired and needing special services that you cannot afford and medicare doesn't pay for. Our home is on the lake and it floods from time to time so our living space is on the second floor. My husband has an unfixable heart condition, is COPD, and now has trouble moving throughout the house. We really need a lift but we are on a fixed income and they are expensive and our budget doesn't allow for that. He just feel again walking from the back door. Such a wonderfully written piece.
