Koolaide, yep. Pickles. Uh huh. Koolaide Pickles? Nope. Nathan King I'm 27
lived in Mississippi all my life been eating these since 1995 I bought my first 1 from the
neighborhood candylady. This also may skew "Black"... noticing the avi's of folks who say
they've never heard of em. Do you know what a "candy lady" Is? Have you lived in the or around
people from the MS delta? Been to a PUBLIC SCHOOL in the Delta? It’s definitely a
Mississippi thing. The neighborhood candy lady even my Technology teacher sold them during
break in high school. 1996 is when I first noticed them. Been southern my whole damn life ain’t
never herd of this gross crap.

Yall lame. Virginia Forrest right I didn’t know what koolaid
pickles were until I came to Memphis tried them and was grossed out which is saying something
cause I like weird unusual foods. Maya Right, I am always enjoying different foods and I also
am always making new and different foods. I do enjoy finding older Southern foods also and
trying them. Things you don’t see so often no more like my Granny use to make my chocolate
gravy and biscuits. Maya I haven’t tried to make it yet but this is a recipe for it.
It’s perfect if you have any kids around or just need to please your inner child.
https://www.allrecipes.com/.../southern-style-chocolate.../. In Texas we put a little bit of salt in
the koolaid and either bore a hole in the middle of the pickle and fill it with the sour koolaid or
just sprinkle on top as we eat it....soooo delicious . This is a Mississippi thing and they ain't
called no damn koolickle. They are called kool aid pickles and they came from a very small town
in Mississippi. They are also delicious. I'm in my 50's and I grew up on these. I make them too.
But I peel & cut it in chunks and pickle them in Mason jars to soak up my koolaide recipe for
four days.... delicious. Shalisa Peterson. KoolAids been in stores since 1927. Great grandparents
ABSOLUTELY couldve made KoolAid pickles. Where in MS is this done? I was born in
Greenville, we didn’t do it there. I was in high school and college in Hattiesburg, we didn’t do it
there. I went Grad school in Starkville, we didn’t do it there. I worked for years in Meridian, we
didn’t do it there. I’ve never seen or heard of this nonsense after 35 years of living in and
traveling throughout MS. you lived in the bigger towns, this was in the backwoods area the
serve it in pearl, ms. I grew up in forest and I’ve seen it there too. Small town country stores.
