The point is that this child takes the time to know who this other child is and knows what makes him happy... Not sheltered. Have him make friends with people who you think don’t give 2 craps about him but actually do. You can’t shelter him forever you will die soon and when that day comes he will be on his own let him get a feel for it now before it’s to late. Trina Smith, I actually had a very good relationship with the special education kids in my high school and that grew from just giving them high fives and saying hello in the hallways. I didn’t ask any administration or find out how to volunteer, but just acknowledging their existence was enough to make them smile and greet me every time. It was awesome. Many of them have sought me out on Facebook later in life now. I guess my point is that just being genuine without an agenda can go a long way. Not knocking you, but being nice doesn’t require the administrations permission. I hate seeing shootings.
