When I was five I was left alone and watched the 1978 original all by myself with the windows open and the curtains blowing...... On Halloween!..... Also the storyline they are going with makes perfect sense since in the first movie he was stalking her. Michael already had a 2018 Pearl Jam Halloween V-neck Shirt as the Boogeyman since he killed his sister. The last time she saw him he got shot and still manage to get up and walk away. I am sure the film will explain how he got caught. But Laurie knowing he was back in the sanitarium she still has that fear knowing that he can escape anything and if he does escape she knows he would be coming after her. She has been traumatized by the events that happened 40 years ago so of course she is going to be terrified of him knowing what he is capable of. So she has prepared herself in preparation on when he finally escapes so it makes perfect sense. I guess ima just have to watch it to make it all make sense...true, we never knew myers and strode was related til the 2nd part...but to take all of that away now...just dont make sense!! Which means there will be a reboot to the whole series cuz then they have to explain jamie....if she not michael sister, then where did jamie come from?

Sherika Brown naw I think it’s going to be rather simple, 40 years ago Michael killed Laurie’s 3 friends and attempted to kill her but failed, he was shot and held for 40 years when he will finally get a chance to escape, from there he catches up to the film people (we see at the start of the trailer) kills them at a gas station most likely along with a mechanic, he gets his suit and mask and heads to find Laurie the “one that got away” meanwhile Laurie is so paranoid over the events that happened to here she’s been preparing herself for him to return. Don’t think they need to explain who she is, as she was a victim of his that lived. Why does he want laurie so badly if they aren’t related, because she beat him and lived, maybe he’s been waiting 40 years to finish what he started. I feel the same way, I think the original two were the best. But as a fan I’ll still see this as I’ve seen all the other ones. Including the awful one about the masks... He killed her friends. She wants 2018 Pearl Jam Halloween V-neck Shirt. She is being ready in case he ever gets out, which seems like it was the right plan to have considering the fact that he escapes. I agree with you to some degree. This is the same problem I initially had, but if you think about it, he did more than just ALMOST kill her. He killed her two best friends. All of that happening in one night is excessively traumatic.

Why would she not suspect he is coming back? Loomis knew he was going to be a problem to begin with if he ever escaped and that he would come back in the original.... that was almost the entire point of Loomis' character. And at the end of the first movie, it was quite clear that he was seemingly un-killable. Running into civilians walking the street (mix between the first and 2nd movie) Dead body laying on the floor of the truck stop (#4). Bathroom scene(H20) Any other obvious homages I missed? (Too many from the first one to mention all) . Looks great too awesome . Strangely enough it seems like they are excluding the events of Halloween 2 I suppose .
